I was curious earlier with the suggestion from @squashskin@exploding-heads.com’s suggestion to go and speak to Defederatis in other places…
And I was taken aback at how inactive they appeared to be…? Fair amounts of extraneous stuff but it’s literally almost all we post about.
Thus it isn’t super surprising that some of these people felt personally slighted and absolutely cut at the fact that we make politically charged jokes.
Honestly idk. I think going forth and doing that, will ‘humanize’ us to them. Which is a good thing. And what they need to see and understand.
But also, I feel like doing that, they’ll pretty much be dismissive and condescending taking the opportunity to humiliate you while we are being vulnerable in a sense.
Then the only option that will be presented is "well we’ll only consider refederation if you follow X guidelines "
I think if you or EH were to do that, to just simply know when to say no and call bull shit if it gets ridiculous or they try to be dicks and then walk away
