I created an account on lemm.ee, but when I attempted to log in, a Keepass popup message appeared, stating that the filled password exceeds the allowed maximum length for the field. What is the password limit? Shouldn’t it be the same as the login field to avoid this issue? Is this a known bug, or should I report it as a new bug? Should I report it on the backend or frontend?
Keepass plugin gave you that error. Try manually. It works.
When inspecting the signup password field and the login password field both seem to have a limit of 60.

Then you should report a bug to Keepass if they show a warning at login fields but not at signup ones.
Actually, keepass warning you is a feature. When I first set up my account I put in the strongest password keepass would let. Lemmy approved it. But I soon learned later that lemmy cut the password short and didn’t tell me. (I learned using the API)
So no bug except lemmy not yelling the user itself. Or maybe that was when I first set up my instance… I forget… I’ve got the memory of a frog
