  • I think most normal people who don’t own any yachts will agree, but it’s a far cry from saying we need to make things better to actually doing so.

I think that to succeed in this we need a plan, and as plans go there are many. So the plan we need has to integrate lots of possible changes and alternatives.

The ‘r/ a better world’ idea, of a consensus engine is where I think we can make this succeed.

We can make a money making engine that uses it’s resources to take people and communities out of poverty.

Imagine a ‘church’ or rather fellowship of people who don’t want to be dicks to people and who don’t want people to act like dicks towards them, that being the only main tie and not ‘religion’ as it is known.

this community group could use something called a ‘consensus engine’ to agree on things, and where people don’t agree we can use the CE to see why they don’t agree. This can be traced backward though a chain of reasoning to show where one party diverges in thought and action.

Examples: for science research, it acts as a chain of validation as well as a reputation management system. people who explain themselves well and created actually reproducible experiments gain clout in that area and

for showing religious people that they are hypocrites, someone says they love jesus and support his teachings of loving everyone and helping the poor, then they show that they do not help other or help the poor, then they have to try and define why that is okay and where their own disconnect comes from

for companies, a moral clause can be added that the company has to help people and can’t just try to make money if it means killing others or ruining the planet

I have a ton of examples of how such an idea might work but zero ideas how to implement it, in case you wanted more info on the idea to make it yourlsef let me know
