Anyone of any gender can be revolutionary, it’s not really a gendered thing as I see it. Toxic masculinity and patriarchy are counter-revolutionary though, and if that’s what masculinity looks like to you then yeah I can see how you’d think that. Methanol pretty much only comes from distillation, or cutting something with industrial-grade alcohol. If you’re fermenting apple juice there might be a tiny amount of methanol, enough to give you a hangover but not enough to make you go blind.

You can just add yeast to a jug of apple juice and let it sit with the cap on loose for a week or two and it will make something with alcohol in it, but if you want it to consistently taste good there’s a little bit more involved. Still, it’s one of the easiest ways to make your own booze.

There’s not that much difference as far as I can tell. Baptists are just Evangelicals that wear suits and have steeples on their churches.

I can’t speak to the Baptist situation, but I grew up in an Evangelical church and this is a common view. The “Left Behind” books were basically novelizations of the Evangelical conception of the end times, and they were enormously popular.

If you want to know more about how the Evangelical church got involved with right wing politics, I’d suggest the book “Jesus and John Wayne.”

If you want to temper your support for AES with some criticism, that’s fine. I don’t think any of us here think that Stalin or Mao or whoever was an absolute perfect angel from heaven who did nothing wrong. But that doesn’t mean we should be expected to write a dissertation on the shortcomings of the Cultural Revolution every time we post a Mao landlord meme.

If liberals come here asking questions in good faith, we should be willing to patiently educate them, or at least point them towards the relevant reading material. But if they’re not willing to learn and just call us names, I say spam them with PPB and/or hit them with the ban hammer.
