Totally agree! Also think it’s a shame she turned into the big monster which felt it just happened so the film could have a climactic third act. It wasn’t too bad because it leaning into the “when I feel really bad, I want to let people harm me”, but it still sort of presents the antagonists actions as somewhat reasonable, when I think it was stronger to have her acting solely out of bigotry.
Definitely, I’d love a holy DPS, I know the role is kinda there with paladins but nothing beats a ranged clothie, completely different vibe.
On the flip side I’d love to see a paladin consumed by shadow and void, doesn’t even need to be gameplay, could be an NPC in the story.
I’ve watched the first 2 episodes and really liked them. I saw someone complaining that Loch Henry doesn’t have a tech aspect, but I disagree. The principle of Black Mirror is to look at how tech interacts with people, but that doesn’t have to be new technology. Film is a technology that changed the world, and enables us to learn about others and connect with our family more, for better and worse.
Not sure if there’s any shadow/void abilities in their arsenal, they’re predominantly undeath, the same magic used to raise the forsaken but stronger. I guess they’d be more of a mirror to druids than anything else, though they definitely feel more like paladins due to the fighting style.
