Had a woman in my therapy group start complaining about how difficult being brown in America is.

Her and I are the only two brown people in a group of fourteen people. I don’t what she expected. Like, they aren’t going to apologize and white people take accusations of racism personally , so they won’t empathize either.

This is really basic stuff . I was shocked that a poc didn’t get that. It’s borderline white levels of ignorance

I wanted to get up and leave.

I thought it was just an action movies about killing bugs who fucked with us.

I was super excited about us getting payback and left the movie thinking that I would like to become a starship trooper some day

I went to the DR thinking I could continue practicing what I call Spanish only to learn that I actually speak very basic Mexican

I really enjoyed the ending of that movie

At least they know that this is awful. Because in the end, thats the important thing.

Maybe racism is more about the friends which you make along the way

I’m sorry for being so naive but I was charmed by Tim Walz initially. And his work as governor seemed promising.

So I know that I deserve to be disappointed but it was actually disorienting to see someone who reminds me of my best friends Dad war mongering in regards to Iran .

It’s truly sick. I only gain comfort from the fact that it’s not real life and that those same people would never behave that way publicly but at the same time that gives you a glimpse into their authentic id and it’s disgusting to see.

But it was the recent Gaza atrocities which put it over the top for me. Actually there is a refreshingly large contingent of human beings when it comes to this issue, but the Zionist are so vicious and brutal , even in their rhetoric, that its difficult to manage the rage which they inspire.

Imagine exploring space out of a genuine sense of curiosity and wonder rather than to win an arms race.
