Akshualy, in between the magic mouse and the hockey puck was the mighty mouse. The almost ergonomic one with the 360 degree scroll ball that always failed because the white plastic around it scraped the gunk and dead skin cells off your finger and gummed up the scroll sensor.

Eta: if they made the mighty mouse touch sensitive like the magic mouse and removed the ball, they’d have room to put a charge port on the front and get those side grip buttons too. Only down side would be the height/thickness that makes it ergonomic in the first place

That might just be the imagery that needs to be pushed more often to open the eyes of some people.

I think the concern is more about stacking multiple boxes and the combined weight of everything pushing down on the bottom box. 2-3 pizzas is probably fine without, but when you get a large order for a party or school or event with 5 stacks of ten pizzas each the weight becomes a problem.
