Yes I am diagnosed with Autism, OCD and CPTSD and my partner is ND as well

What interested you in this book club?

I am hoping that unmasking my autism will enable me to be make my happiness. I don’t think I’d be able to keep at a book of this type without some sort of outside incentive.

What stood out to you about the introduction? Any choice quotes? Anything you relate to?

Book seems good. I’m too afraid to relate to anything in the introduction or not. I find the topic overwhelming still, I don’t think I have a grasp on what me being autistic means for me, whatever that question itself even means. I appreciated the do’s and don’ts for language. I am learning some finer details I’ve never considered before and I find that information accessible and encouraging.

The values-integration process was a little uncomfortable. I accepted before I was 10 that the idea of engaging in an activity you enjoy to be anything other than me as an Employee of God shitting on the company dime, maybe I’m melodramatic but I usually feel like satisfaction and fulfillment are unattainable and not worth pursuing. To try to think of 5 times when I felt that was is challenging to a lot of my preconceptions.
