You’ve got some good games there!

My partner and I play games a fair bit, and we love a good coop game! You mentioned you’re kind of newer to the hobby yourself, but if you managed Grounded you should be good (ability-wise) for a huge selection.

Here are some games I regard very highly, are heaps of fun, and that are very much co-op focused:

-Hellcard -Across the Obelisk -Spellmasons -Sun Haven -Minecraft (an oldie but gold! If you give it a try, I very strongly recommend playing through a mod launcher like curseforge)

Some more hardcore games that are a lot of fun but a bit more involved:

-Conan Exiles -V Rising -Ark

And one of my favourite games, Final Fantasy XIV (14). It’s an MMO, so there’s so, so, so much to do. Most of the content is optional, so you and your husband can focus on doing activities that are fun for you! You can customize your character in any way imaginable, tailor your own clothes or combine designs you like, build your own house, decorate it, form a band with friends and create and perform music together, go monster hunting, and so much more.

The award-winning story is legitimately some of the best writing and narrative of the last decade, and all the main characters of the ensemble cast are written, developed, and voice acted superbly. You will laugh and cry along with them.

The community is absolutely stellar, and widely regarded as incredibly friendly and helpful. There are 19 classes to choose from, ranging from bards, archers, black magicians, white mages, scholars and summoners (both which use multiple summoned creatures to aid them in battle), astrologians, paladins, ninjas, dancers, etc.

The combat is a more traditional style, where you can click or TAB-target through enemies. Each class has a myriad skills and abilities to use, and learning efficient and powerful combinations is a great feeling. The boss fights are amazing spectacles of a huge variety of fun (and often challenging) mechanics. Don’t worry, the game slowly introduces you to it all slowly throughout your journey, but once you’re high level and running through the more dangerous dungeons, your heart rate will definitely spike at times!

One of the best parts of it is that you don’t have to make new characters to try new things; you can learn every single class on ONE character, and swap as you see fit.

There is a subscription fee, but the entire base game and first expansion are totally free to play, and you can decide to subscribe after you’ve played through it if you’ve enjoyed yourselves and want more.
