He’s giving the requisite coach speak. If he did any differently people would bag on him for being a terrible HC and throwing his players under the bus.

I mean, what are they supposed to do/say at this point? All of their healthy QBs are booty cheeks, and at this point there’s no one they can go get. He can’t say that though, that’s being a bad HC, so he tries to build up the guys he’s got. There’s no way he doesn’t know they’re all bad.
