I am an older gamer and I sometimes have times when I want to play but take no enjoyment from it, but I assume the issue comes from me and not from the games.

Games are very obviously much better now thanks to the advances in technology, even the story driven ones are much better now because they have millions to hire actual writers and musicians.

We are the ones who changed for the worse, the games changed but mostly in a good way.

Generally the pleasure of gaming comes back when I go do something else for a time. Even if you want to play if you take no enjoyment from it go do something else.
