Depends what you use it for, this is the highest-end gen4 drive that only few people could actually maximize the speeds from. For gaming, this is extremely overkill and you won’t benefit too much from the higher speeds. The 970 would be adequate for most people.
UPDATE The bot has been unbanned and is posting again! Cheers everyone!
Thank you! The bot will be the main poster of this sub, as manual entries will be rather difficult with timing of deals. There shouldn’t be many human posts. Thank you for the swift-reversal! :)
So I’ve been a little absent the past few months (haven’t even logged in), and I’ll be honest, I never even saw that we had gotten a bot. It’s great that we had one, but this community is pretty small to begin with. Hopefully the community is able to get the bot back in the sub
It all depends on how much you spend, and on what categories, and what categories the card gives you rewards back in. If you have a card with a $100 annual fee let’s say, but you earn $500 in rewards (points, travel, cashback etc.), then you would have made back 5x the amount of the annual fee and is totally worth it. As someone else has mentioned, you should take a look at churning. Whether you want to churn or not, they have the best information on whether or not a card with worth it, and which ones are considered the best.
Welcome :) I’ll try to keep it community based, but if we keep growing I’ll try to get more moderators and maybe bots to get some deals automagically
I think the beta is full unfortunately - sent from Mlem ;) heehee
I guess it totally depends on what you’re into. I listen to:
The Money Guy show - hands down the best personal finance content. American based, but the logic still applies.
Waveform Podcast: MKBHD tech podcast
Surveillance Report: Techlore privacy/security based podcast
You could always make a community here around it :)
Thanks for the heads up! I guess I meant using an RSS feed from somewhere else, like RFD, or the actual BAPC subreddit so it auto posts here in my community.
Honestly, I’m okay with that, in fact encourage it. I need to figure out how to do that myself.
True, I just literally copied and pasted it from r/bapcsalescanada
Amazing how low prices keep getting! Keep in mind this is a gen 3 drive, but still excellent and nothing to complain about
Meanwhile, Canada’s housing supply is running thin!
My adblocker keeps tabs of how many trackers it blocked and Reddit was always the highest culprit of trackers. This doesn’t surprise me, but I do not have/use facebook, snapchat, tiktok or instagram to compare it to.
Personally, I would consider someone to be active if they log in/post a few times a week. But then if they don’t log in for a month, should they be considered inactive? I’m not sure how each instance measures this, and I’m sure it varies from instance to instance.
I take good care of my chargers, and I have never had a single one break. I really only plug my device in before bed.
It’s amazing seeing the prices of SSD prices drop!
