Never fails that about this time every year I give Hybrid Theory a listen. Had such an impact on me when it came out that it seems to have left a permanent mark on the change from summer to autumn for me.

“Warm”

Purely anecdotal of course, but I switched to a whole food, plant based diet after my first high cholesterol diagnosis at the age of 36. Within six months my doctor was astonished that my cholesterol dropped by 78 points and was no longer considered high.

If you can manage the effort of changing, it’s entirely worth it for your health. I have two young children and I am committed to doing everything in my power to be around for them as long as I can. If i have to sacrifice some tasty foods to do that for them, it’s worth it.

I do miss cheese though… so very very much…

My people! Their screenshot gallery was the sole reason I got into Linux back when I was in the sixth grade. The skills I learned by using it as my daily driver got me a job at a web hosting company and started a very fulfilling career.

I don’t know why, but it’s easy for me to imagine a person out there just grieving the loss of their mom this morning, and in turn imagining how I might feel in their shoes. It feels bad, and my heart does go out to them.

I’m going to add to the chorus of voices here advising you to stick with homeassistant. It is hands down the best open source home automation platform.

If you need help with reverse proxy let me know if you’re using nginx. There are a few header configurations that are required for the home assistant interface and I’d be glad to share my nginx configuration file.

You could also pay $6/month for nabu casa and they will proxy everything for you in the cloud.

Damn I hope its just like their last album. The combination of clean and unclean vocals is exquisite. Snowblood, divisionary, vanish canvas, shadow autonomous… just so good.

I’m sure there are many different answers, but for me they lost my business forever when they took rocket league, a game I had fully paid for away from me. I played happily on linux for years until epic came and bought the studio that made it and removed linux support just because they’re greedy shit-goblins. I will never forgive and I will never forget. The only vote I have is with my wallet and I vote “fuck epic and the horse they rode in on”.
