  • A lot of great stuff added this season - the new aliens are great for variety, but the stingtail seems quite buggy at the moment. Hopefully they will balance its drag power a bit so it doesnt insta-kill you when pulling you from above. The new jet boots feel kinda underwhelming in terms of usability. It feels like they are more meant for going up than traversing open pits and going for A to B horizontally, which is a shame. The downtime on the boots is also way too long imo.

    The weapon balance updates has made the driller more playable in terms of secondary viability, but the focus should really have been on fixing the other 2 weapons than the subata gun.

    I was honestly expecting a new mission type this season, but I think that will be season 5 where the conclusion of the Rockpox story will happen. I am unsure how they will ensure replayability with such a mission though, when considering the lore in the game.


  • I would say that there definitely is a skill gap between greenbeards and greybeards in the game. But the great thing about DRG is that you wont notice it so much on the lower hazard levels. I had around 150 hours headstart in DRG when i played with my teammates during covid and there was a noticable difference in skill level when doing hazard 3-4, but on hazard 2 everyone could follow along and it was somewhat of a challenge for me because low skill players dont kill aliens that efficiently and the amount of aliens scale with the amount of players you are.
