Leaving the US is the most rational decision anyone with an remote income can make. The place is just awful all-around. From the horrible health care, to the crime, to the homelessness and drugs in the cities to the insanely high cost of living, reliance on cars, political madness on all sides etc.

KFC in Yangon in 2013 or whenver it first opened. Not really “far-flung” but it was the first US fast food chain to arrive.

Please stop saying things like that if you don`t know the situation in NL.

There is a BIG problem with most of the responses OP got. None of them are based on the actual laws in the Netherlands.

Please stop applying what you think is “normal” to other countries.
