Evolving it doesn’t make it any better, either.

I’ve been explaining it as countries/international travel. Lemmy is a country, Mastodon is a country, you can travel freely between them but you need a passport. Each service has it’s own government whose rules you have to abide. Lemmy instances are like states (or provinces or what have you), where you can just… freely travel between them. Each instance has it’s own local government whose rules you have to abide. Communities are like cities/towns, with their own small local government whose rules you have to abide… etc, etc.

You can have multiple emails with them, you simply can’t be signed in to more than one at a time without their premium plan. Think like Google with it’s account swither. Multiple accounts can be logged in and you can hot-swap between them without having to re-login every time. That’s the premium feature for Proton mail.

Strong choices all around. Dark type is definitely in my top five, and I love Mightyena. I think it’s easy to sleep on, since you get access to Poochyena literally right out of the gate, but it’s a seriously tough Pokémon.

There definitely is a DM system in Lemmy. From the website, if you click on a user there’s a “Send Message” option, and your notifications has a Messages section. I just don’t think it’s implemented in Jerboa.

Finding a good photo editing software has been the biggest hurdle for me in using Linux daily. I used to run a dual-boot with Win10 and Linux, but it’s been a few years since then and I still haven’t found anything I really like using as much as I do CaptureOne. 🥲

100% OpenSUSE Tumbleweed now, and I won’t be going back… Just a shame major software companies don’t give Linux much love.

I’m a Turtwig man, myself, but that whole trio is amazing. Probably the last time I have liked all three starter evolutionary lines from start to finish.

Flygon is a strong choice. It’s definitely among my personal favorites.

I would, but I honestly don’t have the commitment to be a mod. I’ll be happily spreading the word about Lemmy to the masses, but I don’t have moderating chops. :(

It’ll be loads easier. The Lutris installer is set up to automatically handle an error that Battle.net throws when you try to launch it, some BS about the way they package their QT platform. It’s just a terminal command away from being fixed, but future updates run a real risk of breaking it again. It happened to me, and I spent ~30 minutes trying to get it to work again before I gave up and just… Reinstalled the damned thing with Lutris, and it worked like a charm.

Speaking of Diablo, I got a notification while I was typing this message… 😂

Lutris is great especially if you have games that need a little tweaking that aren’t a part of Steam, GoG, or Epic. If all your games are on one of those three, I’d stick with Steam/Heroic personally.

Lutris is the easiest way to get WoW up and running on Linux, for example. If it weren’t for that, I probably wouldn’t have Lutris on my PC.
