I do, in fact, utilize my local food bank, thanks. I also would utilize rental assistance if it weren’t for the fact that we are meant to pay rent in 9 days and our local system doesn’t move that fast. Secondly, in order to take out a $20,000 loan, you need a much better credit score than I have, my friend. I am disabled - all the way on disability. My income is less than $11,000 a year. There is no way in hell I can get a loan to leave the country.

While I agree with all of your other points (because, yes, this country is fucked), I don’t really think my post asking for assistance is the place to vent your frustrations, comrade. Leaving the country isn’t an option for me. I am doing what I can to survive in a system I can’t escape.

I had a pretty darn good week! I saw a sleep specialist and scheduled an at-home sleep study for early July, and saw my GP and got prescribed a new muscle relaxer and it’s actually working! 😁 Also obtained a bike last Friday, so have been a lot more active recently, and that has helped me a lot, physically and mentally.

I’m really stoked. This was my first week after coming out of a really, really horrible funk of depression and burnout. I’m just doing a lot better, and it’s so refreshing after a full month of non-stop lows.

lmaoooo very accurate. it’s particularly funny because an ex-member of my polycule is actually an influential leftist figure in our local politics. Most of the queer community here knows here, and my current nesting partner was FLOORED when I told them lol
