i gave it a try but i didn’t move my keepass db to it. i liked it but i’m more comfortable with keepass where the db is local rather than someone’s server.
i care deeply about open-source software.

i’ve been looking for an good alternative for shazam for a long time but i haven’t found anything. the only good alternative is the one you mentioned first but it’s just a modded version of google pixel’s now playing.
logseq is awesome but their mobile version is still very unstable and has no plugins, only custom css.
i use aegis, it is open source and does not have internet access. you can export and import your secret codes and it has an automatic local backup. it automatically creates a backup of the vault to external storage when changes are made. to backup my vault i use rclone with encryption to backup it to google drive. i also made a termux shortcut script that makes a copy of my vault to sd card.
keepassxc for desktop and keepassdx for mobile. to sync my database between two devices, i use syncthing, a continuous file synchronization. i also use a termux script on mobile to copy my database to the sd card every time i make a change to the database, i just run the script and it automatically copies my database.
If this is true then should I use something else.
it is true that it still has trackers because it still connects to mozilla and google services.
check out this browser comparison table by divestos, it might help you choose the right browser for you. here’s the link.
i use fennec f-droid, it is based on the latest firefox release with proprietary and telemetry removed. tried mull before but site often breaks and slow when searching so i switched to fennec.
i think because many users use anonymous login? anonymous login is like shared credentials and due to many users, it is rate limited. just try to create a dummy google account. don’t use your personal google account to avoid being banned.
if you are afraid of data loss, bitwarden is a good choice because it is cloud based and it can also be self-hosted.
i think there is no push notification yet. i checked the settings in the app itself, there is no option. the notification section in the app info is also empty.
they keep pushing users to use the reddit official app instead of improving it.
for android, i recommend newpipe and libreture. in my experience, newpipe is more stable but you can give those two a try and see what you prefer.
i don’t think it’s possible because it’s a custom css (?)
try to check this recommended tools of privacy guides for emails, here’s the link. for me, i’d recommend proton for email and cloud storage, but if you can self-host, much better.
you’re welcome!
what do you mean? you can’t delete the photos? like, there is no option in the ui to delete it? if yes, i think it has been deleted but it’s in the trash. i noticed before when i was deleting photos, i still see it in the mobile uploads folder but only in view mode, there is no clickable option like delete. deleting photos on facebook will not be completely deleted immediately, it will stay in the trash for 30 days and you have the option to restore or delete it permanently. just check your facebook account activity log and look for “trash”.
have you checked rclone? you can use it on android using termux app. you can sync your local files to cloud storage like google drive. you can also encrypt the files. the only downside is that you have to manually run the command to sync your files to the cloud storage but you can create a script. there is also an open source app (round sync) that uses rclone but many features are missing, only sync and copy are available but there is an option that you can schedule the syncing of files to cloud storage.
