The idea is so beyond insane. It’s like trating himan people like pideons or some other wildlife. Do any of these people actually think homeless people will magically become not homeless when they’re hungry? I keep trying to think of any other alternatives, but no, you’re right, the cruelty is intentional.

Meh, I grew up next to some favelas, and that level of violence is another level entirely, it’s just not covered as intently. People get kidnapped, families of rival gangs are targeted, not to mention the extortion.
That being said, the US has no fucking excuse. Central and South American countries suffering from massive gangs and civil wars, they have a good reason for having so many gun deaths.

I diagreed because I am a gamer and I DO care about labor conditions in the industry. While I don’t work in it, I have many friends that do and they identify as gamers and do care. I dont like making gamers a monolith, nor do I agree with the assertion that the reason they were disliked was due to them cocering labor issues. Thats why I downvoted the comment. I dont expect you or the others to agree with me, obviously, but the idea that you’d try to get people to justify it is fucking weird.
The amount of animals killed by a modern farm tractor combine passing through is enormous. Its just that we don’t count “vermin” like that life. And most people who are vegan will never see it.

I remember making a ton of ships and just sailing them around, watching the sails. So realistic lol.
Part of the problem is also how men in those positions are treated by society. My wife went through a teaching degree, and the number of things men (they teach everyone this, but it’s clearly more for the men) have to do in order to protect themselves from accusations (or even just rumors and suspicion. Always keeping a door open, finding other adults to be present if a kid wants to talk to you in private, etc. And many guys who had been thinking of teaching earlier years ended up switching to high school, since it’s apparently seen as less ‘creepy’.
I have no idea how we start to fix that…
