Agreed. I’m working on the Prince of Persia DLC, and then switching to the new Zelda…
I have not. I see it getting decent reviews (80-85%-ish). Between this and other high profile releases, I think it’ll be in my backlog

If you have a PC or Steam Deck, they have a demo you can try out
Then you should definitely avoid the Deviator, which was caught even reusing assets from HK
I yield my support to whomever can do sick-ass layups
Lemme finish!!!
…next year, and then I’ll wait another 3 years
It was fantastic and I look forward to it next year!
Congrats to her and Raygun’s new found fame. I loved watching the whole thing and look forward to watching the men’s competition tomorrow.
I’ll give a pass to games in a series (i.e. “Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow”), but otherwise, tone it down “F.I.S.T.: Forged in Shadow Torch”
I know it’s an issue not limited to Metroidvania, but geez - look at them all
Keep in mind — this is KOMO News, who regularly pushes the “crime” narrative as a political policy, independent of whether it’s accurate or not.
I never played Outer Wilds, but Tunic, Fez, Animal Well, the Witness, etc. are some of my absolute favorites. I’m with you…
The other type that I hate — a charm that is only available at the endgame that should appear sooner if it’s to have any value to you playing. Case in point: a fast-travel charm in Blast Brigade that is only available as one of the very last acts. Great game, otherwise.
I loved the demo for this game and while there aren’t many reviews out, the ones that are are really positive.
Anyone have any ideas as to why it might not be generating thumbnail previews when creating a post? I checked and Kickstarter and Youtube are doing OpenGraph correctly, so there seems to be something else going on.
You just described what I’m going through 100%.
I’m down! As long as they work their way to “E.T. Rising”
I didn’t get to posting about it, but I saw last week the announcement about “Beyond the Ice Palace 2”, which is the metroidvania sequel to a 1988 Amiga game. Bizarre that now is the time to cash in on the social capital these two games have built up over the years 🤷🏼
Happy to participate in a post. I’m also wanting to do a “Best of '24” in a few months.
4 & 6-8 are from just this year, so it’s been a good year for me.
