I think this legitimisation of them will only make them stronger. Growing up in the UK, the far right was so inconsequential it might not have existed. Small pockets of nutters who were ridiculed any time they tried to organise, nothing more. Now they’re a serious problem, they’re recruiting young men by the ton, and they’re coming in second n elections everywhere. These views are becoming mainstream, you hear them on the street and in the pub. They aren’t a majority yet, but their rise has been mercurial to say the last. If the trend continues we will have a white nationalist in power by the end of this decade. And I’m not seeing any signs of delay. Interesting times 😔

This project has been wracked with budgetary setbacks. Costs have overrun, and the plug has nearly been pulled on at least two occasions. Give us a big enough budget and we’ll bring you as many samples as you need. But the original budget was unrealistic, and only got the sign off because of politics. Then, inevitably, it went over budget (as any engineer could see it would) and now every cent of overspend is a step too far. I hope the management is being realistic this time with these new estimates.

That was a really boring and poorly made video. Could you tell me what part of it makes you sure this man is a terrorist? I might have missed it.

Super injunction - as you say, usually used for privacy issues, unlikely to apply here and if it is the case, then the other, smaller, news orgs covering the story would be in trouble.
Unverifiable sources - the IFJ is a rock solid source. Even if it weren’t, then this claim would assume that the news orgs that have published are all guilty of cowboy journalism.
Watertightness - for the Panama papers, yes. For this small story, no way. It’s A Story, and it’s the journalist’s job to get copy out as quickly as possible.
As I said I’d like it if any of these were the case and thanks for pointing them out as I certainly hadn’t thought of them when I wrote my comment, but I’m still just not seeing it. It seems like a decision has been made not to pursue this story, but I’m not jumping to conclusions as to why. It’s hard to keep the faith though, when there are zero major outlets reporting on it, which means that decision not to pursue has been made multiple times by multiple different editors. WTF
