Same here. I normally have qbittorrent running 24/7, but typically shut it down and grab a different VPN server once or twice a week. It seems to affect uploads more than downloads though.

Stuck torrents aren’t really a huge deal for me, because I’ve usually got at least a couple weeks worth of backlog. But it is frustrating when I pop open the client and see like 3Gb of upload activity that day, when I have hundreds of things seeding.

Honestly, it’s probably pretty fine for everything except maybe the front right tire or maybe the rims on the left wheels if they scraped the ground.

Being up on 3 wheels at very low speeds isn’t going to stress the suspension at all. And even if something bottomed out during that last drop off the wall, shocks/struts all have bump stops to prevent metal-metal impacts.

The lateral forces might look pretty extreme, but think about how much force is being taken during a sharp turn at speed. Most cars can corner at well north of 0.5g, which is half the car’s weight pushing the car sideways, and even then it’s tire grip that fails not suspension components.

My one suggestion would be to extend the part of the hook that contacts the underside of the table. That will help counteract the tendency for it to rotate forward when you add weight.

Maybe there is a real call to action buried past the paywall, but I don’t see it, and therefore I can only assume that what I can see without paying is the message they want to push.

The problem is these fucks want to have their cake and eat it too.

They want to hold a monopoly on online social interactions, which also means having a monopoly on dissemination and propagation of information. But they are simultaneously doing their damndest to avoid the social responsibility that comes with that power and control. (Fixing their algorithm means reducing engagement, therefore the line goes up less) And they are succeeding because all of our regulations around this type of thing are focused on the legacy model of print and broadcast media.

It’s the same thing that companies like Uber have been successfully doing: Carve out and control an important public service (on-demand personal transportation, in Uber’s case) and then shrug off the social responsibility by claiming that the regulations and protections that applied to the legacy model don’t apply to you for [waves hands in the air] some reason.

I know not everyone loads their media onto a media server, but I sometimes take it for granted how handy it is to fire up the Plex app and check whether already I have this random CD or bluray that I stumbled across at a thrift shop.

There was a local comic book store called (no shit) The Funk Pit, which kept the mid tier cards stored in 3 ring binders full of those plastic card sleeves, and common cards stored in an “Inch Box” where they just charged you by the height of your stack. My friend and I would occasionally sneak a more expensive card out of the binder and slip it into our stack from the Inch Deck that cost $1.25.

There’s no way we were the first or last to do it, but I felt kinda shitty about it for years after.

I have a relatively new house, which means wifi was ubiquitous enough that they decided to really skimp on ethernet jacks. I’ve already got the main level taken care of via the unfinished basement, now just trying to work up the motivation / figure out how to run a bundle of ethernet up to the attic and take care of the upper level rooms.

It depends on the surface… but whatever we used before they were invented in the early 2000s, I suppose.

I’m being a little snarky, but they are a general purpose “shortcut” method, not really specialized for any particular use–kinda like duct tape. So there is almost certainly a better way depending on what specifically you’re trying to clean.

Never done this on a bike trailer, but my wife and I have driven multiple thousands of miles with a couple 30-ish gallon totes strapped into a hitch mount basket on her little Kia Soul.

For my money, i prefer the 27 gallon tough totes from home depot since they are more square sided (better space utilization) and seem sturdier in compression (good for stacking or tying down with a ratchet strap)

If I was going to do that long term or with anything valuable inside, I might look into DIYing some weatherstripping around the rim to help keep water from getting inside.

True Lime / True Lemon packets are my goto when I’m trying to be healthy, but a plain old glass of water isn’t going to cut it.

One packet for a hint of flavor, two if I want something closer to a sugar free limeade/lemonade.
