Nuclear power is literally more expensive at this point than renewables. No, you can’t keep using the shitty, cracking, deadly waste producing nuclear plants of the past, not even the power companies want that, and building new ones takes over 10 years, not counting all the planning and beaurocracy you have to go through. And to become CO2 neutral after all the excavation, construction and mining necessary takes another decade. Nuclear power plants are MASSIVE engineering undertakings.

Meanwhile modern windmills can be mass-produced right now and take like 5 years depending on their placement to be both cost and CO2 neutral. After that it’s LITERALLY free energy for a good 30 years. And they become cheaper and bigger and more efficient every single year. And btw if you ever pull out an article or a calculation that is older than a year for any comparison, you are dealing with OLD data. They have become far more efficient and flexible in their placement and will likely continue to do so.

The anti-nuclear protests were completely right. Stop playing the people who wanted a safer world without nuclear waste and incidents against the modern climate movement.

Blink is just a different approach on the topic of instant movement skills.

Flash is free and has no downsides, but is rather short and has a long ass cooldown.

Blink Dagger is fairly expensive, can be disabled through player damage, gives zero stats but has long range and a reasonably short cooldown.

Both fundamentally shape their game for the better, because without them the game would be a lot slower and less spectacular. Probably 80-90% of all “greatest highlights of dota” scenes feature a blink and I presume it’s vice versa in league.

Same here for Dota 2.

An insufferable playerbase combined with thousands of obscure mechanics, details and interactions makes it basically impenetrable as a casual game for someone to try it out. I got 4k hours in it and too many of them were filled with negative emotions towards myself or others.

It’s unfortunately also the best competitive game ever made, both for playing and watching.

Doubt that. I’ve met plenty of them and knowledge about ADHD is not really as prominent as one might think for something that affects possibly 5% of people. All the science dealing with the psyche is still extremely young and underdeveloped. In most cases we have no idea what a drug does to a brain. Just look up Lithium. Stops people from killing themselves better than anything else and nobody knows why. Until recently we thought that people would just “grow out” of ADHD. The naming schemes and definitions change frequently and adoption varies wildly throught the world. It’s a mess and they don’t always know better.

I would trust a fellow affected person with 327 browser bookmarks about ADHD medication, diagnosis and therapy more than any neurotypical student at pretty much any point. And even some doctors.

Don’t wanna be annoying, but vitamin C literally does nothing for a cold. It’s a myth long disproven. It just makes your pee slightly more expensive.

The best description I’ve heard is that with ADHD (and probably other neurodivergent conditions) you need to become your own pharmacist, psychiatrist and research specialist. There is so much information out there and the effects are so different for everyone. It’s a constant balancing act of benefits, side effects, dosage, timing, food and choice of drug.

The pharma company “just” need to prove that there is a significant benefit above placebo for a certain fixed dosage under controlled conditions. We need to figure out how to use it in our normal daily ADHD riddled lives.

Vyvanse/Elvanse (why the fuck they have different names in EU and US is just beyond me) are a so called prodrug called Lisdexamphetamine, a derivative of Dexamphetamine that has the aminoacid L-Lysine bound to it. This compound is inactive and has to be absorbed through the gastrointestinal system and then converted in your bloodstream into Dexamphetamine. This delays the peak level by about an hour and makes it more resistant to ph-levels and the influence of food.

Like the others wrote, it’s probably not entirely inert to acidic environments but apparently much better than Adderall (raw Dexamphetamine) and Ritalin/Concerta (Methylphenidate).

It’s really funny how peas just do that and those birds happen to have these useful beaks.

I would very much concur with that. I would rather be portrayed by a woman than that guy. It’s more interesting and and flavourful than generic dude xyz. I reject most of societies notion of being a man, so why not be a woman here in this space free from consequences.
