    this may come across as pedantry but I don’t mean it in that way, it’s more of a question to the people who post here, the comm mods, etc.

    possible pedantry

    the comm’s name is em_poc - instead of having poc only in the title, shouldn’t it say em & poc only?

    I say this as someone who’s an ethnic monitory but has discomfort with using the term poc to describe myself - my skin is white, and I know that that doesn’t mean I’m the social construction of “White” per se - but that does afford me certain privileges that comrades with darker skin don’t have, like the ability to sometimes white pass

    a lot of it boils down to this: should people like me who are racialised but have white skin use the term “poc”? I have had differening opinions on this.

    I could really “get into this” if people here want to - but yes, the bottom line is that I don’t use the term poc to describe myself, so I tend to not engage with this thread. any maybe that’s the point! in which case that’s also fine - just let me know.

    I actually fucking hate JPEGMAFIA. As if what he did wasn’t bad enough, his response to the criticism makes this all so much worse. The gall for this piece of shit to call anyone mad at him a redditor. Don’t worry guys it’s fine for him to pose, collab with, sing the praises of Nazis, it’s all non-political and he can’t agree with their politics because they hate black people…?

    Stupid prick made his entire brand political and is surprised when people are disappointed with him palling around the same fascistic losers he used to talk shit about in his songs. Fuck him and fuck Kanye. And fuck every veteran who doesn’t feel deep deep shame over being a veteran, that was always a red flag with him, he never had enough shame over his time in the air force
