I got lucky and was able to buy YNAB on Steam nearly 10 years ago for as much as they’re charging now for a single month of their subscription. Manually exporting/importing transactions can be a little tedious sometimes but in comparison there’s no way I could justify that high of a subscription cost

Maybe this is a little weird but I actually use mine the most at the gym while on the treadmill and stair machine. It’s helped me stay motivated to keep going back semi-regularly and luckily over the last year I’ve lost most of the weight I gained during the pandemic. I’ve also worked through a lot of games that have been sitting untouched in my library, especially those smaller indie games that run well on the Deck.

Apart from that I also bring it to family gatherings since it’s convenient for local multiplayer games like Jackbox.

It’s a 2D Metroidvania-type game but Ender Lilies is the closest game I can think of to that delivered the same sort of challenges as the Souls games, like having to sometimes fight a boss battle dozens of times before you finally learn the patterns, without a disheartening death penalty or needing to go back to retrieve anything (you do return to your last checkpoint with respawned enemies though). It’s admittedly a little rough around the edges especially with some questionable level designs (In one spot I had the hardest time spotting the waterfalls over the background - but also I played it on a small Steam Deck screen so that might not have helped) - also it’s not a terribly original setting/story but I still liked it overall.

I don’t know if I can call it garbage but probably no one in their right mind should play Hearts of Iron IV. Somehow I managed to persist through hours of bewilderment and confusion, until it all clicked, and I soon found myself unhealthily obsessed and unable to rest peacefully until glorious France had swept across half of the globe

The only recommendation I can think of at the moment (at least that haven’t been mentioned yet) is Kaguya-sama: Love is War (admittedly I’ve only seen S1 since that was all they had on Hulu but it was one of my favorites)

Also maybe Ouran High School Host Club but it’s been a while since I’ve seen it so I don’t remember much
