I gave Darkest Dungeon a try yesterday and it’s been a lot of fun. I love the whole premise of “getting the best of a bad situation” and learning to pass on with any mistakes and misfortune. Dealing with your inner perfectionist is a valuable skill and this game teaches you just that.
“It’s not censorship, it’s counter-disinformation measures!! 1!”
Yeah, the town mentioned in the quote is, in fact, Pripyat, my bad. Still, Chornobyl is another Ghost town and the exclusion Zone is named after it, so it’s the town people recognise more.
Chornobyl, Ukraine. “50 thousand people used to live here, now it’s a ghost town”
There are many more ghost towns now, due to the war. Adviivka, Bakhmut and many others, some small, some relatively big. Everyone has heard of those small cities.
One thing I REALLY like about Lemmy is that it is not dominated by the Americans 🥰 It feels like on Reddit everyone defaults to the US reality unless explicitly specified otherwise.
Never, I don’t live in the US.
Nice answer, u/MY_ANUS_IS_BLEEDING
I hear argumentation that “uhm acktually Israeli Palestinians are living a really nice life” a lot. Is there more shit like this somebody could share please?
Seriously. Those are EXACTLY the thoughts I had after I was forced to deal with Python after a ton of time writing projects in JS.
I’m very sorry for the other games that you have played
TIL Arc has a mobile browser now.
Where the fuck did you get “about 20 friends”? I mean, holy shit, are you the extrovert guy from this meme?
To me, it seems that the loudest crowd is the “every vote not for Harris is, by definition, a vote for Trump” one. I don’t care about either. I live in the part of the world where most have lost their faith in elections and know they don’t change much, so it’s amusing to look at US citizens.
I have to disagree with you on this one. While it’s true that some people might rely on tools like ChatGPT for longer posts, it definitely doesn’t mean that only AI users can craft comprehensive arguments. Many individuals have the skills and knowledge to write extensively on topics they’re passionate about, drawing from their own experiences and research.
In fact, lengthy posts often come from a place of deep understanding and engagement with the subject matter. Writers, bloggers, and scholars have been doing this long before generative AI was even a concept. Plus, there’s a certain value in the authenticity of human writing — the nuances, personal anecdotes, and unique perspectives that can’t be replicated by AI.
I have a dedicated directory with subdirectories for each project and that’s it
Most of the cost from not moving from requiring phone to be connected to people’s accounts and not desiring for the central server to federate with others.
