Does anyone else remember '98? We ran Jamal Anderson all game. Early he wasn’t getting many yards, but eventually the defense got tired, and he started plowing through them like a bowling ball in the late 3rd and 4th quarters.

Why are we not doing this with Bijan every game?!?

The thing that I just can’t wrap my head around is that Arthur Smith came here from Tennessee, where he was a pound-the-ball, run run run offensive coordinator. He gets a young QB who needs a strong running game behind him to be successful, and AS just stubbornly keeps trying to force him to throw the ball when we should be trying to power the ball forward (like in the red zone).

I’m not a knee-jerk “FIRE THE COACH” guy, but over 2 1/2 seasons, it sure looks like Arthur Smith tries to prove that he’s smarter than everyone else with his play calls, and it’s head-scratchingly confusing and not working. AT ALL. At this point, I think it’s best if we move on either now or at the end of the season. Blank stuck with Quinn too long, and we all know how that worked out. We wasted what was left of Ryan & Julio’s careers. We’ve got an incredible line up of offensive players, and another better play calling coach could get so much more out of this offense.

Running Ridder is my favorite Ridder.

What are the chances we get a score before the half, take the opening kickoff and score again?

I don’t want any more Saints to get injured, because I don’t want to hear their fan base whine about how they would have beat us if it wasn’t for all the injuries.

I don’t care if we’re not gaining huge chunks of yards, KEEP RUNNING THE BALL. This will wear down the defense and pay off later. I’m begging you Arthur, don’t give up on the running game.
