  • i loved the live bus tracking feature on Google Maps, but in the past months it’s no longer been showing them so I more or less have to wait blindly.

Today I downloaded the moovit app and found out that it’s charging people for the live tracking, so my guess is that moovit are the owners of the live bus data and decided to privatize it for their own app. Makes sense if they wanna make a profit, but a huge bummer since the data should have been provided by the govt in the first place.

  • It’s a phone app. Essentially it tracks your sleep quality and in the morning after every sleep cycle, pokemon will appear and you can feed them to become your companions.

There’s no combat and minimal attention required. I just open the app before I sleep, and feed pokemon some biscuits in the morning.

It tracks using the mic, so it might be draining on the battery. Probably not the best thing for privacy either, but it’s made me sleep on time since it stops me from picking up my phone on the bed.

  • From what 🦀 said, after thinking about it, I probably should wait until the software matures - either with improvements of front-page algorithm, or ability to minimize a community’s exposure to the whole fediverse. I can definitely see moderation being a huge commitment if at least those two things aren’t implemented yet. I’m not a big fan of creating threads due to limited searchability among other issues. I’ll sit on this one and deliberate further. 🤔💭

  • I’m 30+ too but only started clubbing around 2019 and maybe it’s my lack of experience of how things used to be, but I think it’s pretty fun still for the music! Having said that, I think you might be able to find the experience you’re looking for elsewhere because Spark’s dancefloor is so packed that there’s hardly any space for interaction. Especially once Blink gets on the deck - you can forget about moving laterally anymore.

Pitt Club might be good in terms of space though!

  • Time to make another one that’s private with less traceability. Even the email you use to make the new one should not be tied to any accounts. Don’t link phone number so IG won’t use contact list to add you.

After this, pay attention to when you or your friends talk about IG. You don’t want friends to mention “that funny story you put up last week” and have your mom hear it only to wonder why she didn’t see it.
