Won’t we have the exact same problem if Exploding Heads goes away completely? At least we would have someplace to go like the existing instance.

Couldn’t we just change the domain for Lemmy to lemmy.exploding-heads.com? I know everyone will have to refederate(or redefederate), but is that even a problem at this point?

Is it possible to host a Nostr relay and a Lemmy instance on the same domain?

Is it really necessary to shut down the Lemmy instance to start a Nostr relay?

Mine has been wandering too lately.

They include pro-family policies such as paid leave, and investments in public transit and community infrastructure that help people connect with one another in real life, not just online. He has also called for stronger and more sophisticated oversight and regulation of tech companies. In particular, there is an urgent need for more protections for kids on social media.

I love reading about teenagers turning to old-school flip phones so they’re no longer at the mercy of giant tech firms and hidden algorithms.

Teenagers aren’t a minority, it’s a stage of development. It’s something everyone goes through. It’s like studying cognitive decline in old age.

Star Trek stuff.

I don’t mind conflicts with the prime timeline as long as they establish this takes place in an alternate timeline. The problem is they are insisting this is the prime timeline.

Spock, Uhura, and Kirk all knowing La’an makes Space Seed not make sense. They should have immediately figured out who Khan was once they knew his name and that he was a product of selective breeding. Also, Arena makes it very clear that it was their first encounter with the Gorn.

I don’t think saying members of one race are inferior to members of another race is the same as saying teenagers are inferior to adults. Every adult was a teenager at some point, and they developed along the way.

I haven’t really watched Picard. Strange New Worlds started out good, but if they are really going to insist it happens it the prime timeline there are really going to be some issues.
