Remember when people paid for ringtones? Doesn’t mean it isn’t stupid, especially as a subscription, but people do stupid things and other people take advantage.

The problem is, I don’t believe it’s at a minute-by-minute level of granularity. If you’re working several hours a day at tipped minimum, and the rest making well above minimum after tips, repeat the above daily and average at minimum wage for the pay period… That’s good enough.
Honestly, if Twitter were rebuilt from the ground up, name and all, I could see people moving to it pretty quickly. Like, does anyone (real people. Not bots, not Elon, but real people) actually like X?
How is “collateral in major purchases” and “secure billions in loans” supposed to be any different?
Gawd, I love visiting Taos. Not sure I could live there but it’s such a cool place. I live in Denver, and when my friend visited from Saskatchewan, Canada I wanted to show her the most un-Canadian things I could think of. We ended up staying in Taos for a couple nights and visited Taos Pueblo. It was a good choice.
It’s not the best comic, but I at least understood it once I learned it’s about circumcision.
every employer should be prepared to make accomodations for any qualified employee who may have a disability. We don’t have that
Employers are required to make reasonable accommodations for disabilities. Not every position/disability combination necessarily has a reasonable accommodation that can be done (a quadriplegic probably couldn’t be a baggage handler, for example) but I think you realize that with your “qualified” employee qualifier
Accept the carve out for prisoners, not sure what’s up with that
You don’t have to accept it 😉
The FBI is flagged (notified) as Elon Musk does something stupid.
Well you see, it was the state that let her die. That’s what everyone wanted all along!
I remember crossing a wet road with the stock tires that came with my Bolt and spinning them. My infant daughter was set to come home soon, and snow would be there soon after.
Could I have gotten by on the stocks? Maybe. Did I want to find out the hard way that I couldn’t? Hell no. I didn’t go nuts for the grippiest tires I could find, but still wanted to improve on that. I regret nothing.
I’m not sure what the Cybertruck uses, but they do make tires meant specifically for EVs. They tend to sacrifice some traction for increased range. Also not sure if that affects durability but it is a factor that may be worth considering!
Replace ‘major government contractor’ with Elon Musk.
It is a shit headline though.
If everything is running on renewables, cool. Until then, there’s still the opportunity cost.
I think the point is, it would be nice to know which books are being put back up (seems like a pretty basic thing if you’re going to make a post like this) but OP made it about as hard as possible to see any but 1-2
My dad worked nights and Mom was a SAHM who also did some freelance stuff from home. They basically had a first come/first served system, and honestly didn’t have many conflicts so the second car (usually the one they’ve had longer) was rarely used. That was perfect when I started driving in high school, because I could usually use that car (even if it was a few years older than I was)
My brother talked them into buying a used Mitsubishi Eclipse back when it was still kinda cool (an '03 model purchased in 2007?). Mom ended up really liking that car and it’s not really practical for the handyman stuff my dad does in his retirement, so now they have assigned cars.
And here we are, not on TikTok or Instagram, and still seeing it

Yeah, that Franch dipping sauce in Breaking Bad was crazy!
I don’t think that’s going to be an unpopular opinion around here. Maybe a little tricky in the logistics of distinguishing between an artist and influencer and finding an artist who you like and can pay for a phone background, but other than that you’re not going to find many Lemmings saying “no, pay an influencer!”
