With a electoral system like Ranked Choice voting, people would feel safe to vote for whomsoever they wish, as their vote would still be counted even if their preference didn’t win.

Just search for videos on FPTP voting if you want an explanation on how and why the spoiler effect exists.

Electoral reform is possible in each individual state (for now), we dont need federal reform! Maine and Alaska have already passed electoral reform.

Republicans are moving to make alternative electoral systems illegal in their states. Republicans LOVE first past the post voting. Just sbsolutely adore it. Why would you want to use the same voting system republicans want?

More political parties means a higher percentage of the population is represented by their choices in the voting booth. More people involved in the electoral process, more people engaged.

Its a win win win all around for not just the people, but also for the democratic party. More people voting means more democratic votes. The numbers dont lie. So what’s the hold up blue states?

Some day we will be able to vote for who best represents our interests. We won’t need to grovel on our knees, begging for representationin government. We won’t need to wait for the Republican party to stop existing.

We can do it right now. We don’t have to get over a damn thing. If anyone needs to get over themselves, it would be the democrats who assume they are the only way forward.

Consider starting a campaign to change how we vote in your own state! Force our representatives to compete with fresh outside ideas. We deserve the best representation, not excuses.

your right Clinton would have likely preserved Roe V Wade a little longer, assuming the senate confermed her choices. And that is a big if, but that is also a Miopic, under both Democratic and Republican apointed courts contenue to chip away at rights, including the popular ones, so long as it is not the one with all the attention on it at the moment. I also find it interesting that under multiple democratic trifecta’s there was never a statutory right to abortion passed, especialy when everyone knew how percarious it was as a right given under a constantly devided and increasingly more politicised supreme court.

Second, I find it oddly presumptuous that once agian you are assuming my position in society, or if I voted in the primary or not, or in a general or not, I can tell you I do vote in the primaries, and I do in general vote in the general elections. Agian not that this information is any of your buisness, but your liberal brain cannot seem to comprehend anything beyond vote so I will tell you I d.

Third, that is not the reason, the reason is because agian, and I cannot stress this enough, are no meanigfull difrences between the 2 options, at the best of times you get the “Very bad accelerationist” group and the “Very bad at your own pace hold a gun to your head look at how bad they are” group and well I do not know if rewards should be given to the group that decides to fix nothing in order to have a gun to point for the next election, agian this is the most generous and the most best of times comparison I can give. I understand this is a scarry time, Trump is in the news the big bad ruiner of democracy, and rights are being taken away, and one side is looking crazy, but the other side is letting it happen, the other side is aiding a genocide. They both serve capital. They both voted to break the strike, The dems had a trifecta at the begining of Biden’s term and they did not pass a ledgislative right to abortion. There is no canidate who represents me, because they are both fash.

I mean I am sorry you feel that way, but no revolution comes at the end of a ballot box, no opressed group gets out by voting it away. I understand and have accepted that under the status quo, as it contenues I will be lined up and shot, and my vote will not change that one way or the other, I would hardly say telling people that both options are fash is “activly fighting aganst a revolution” I am not telling a single person not to vote. if you feel it is your moral obligation to vote, do it, do what makes you feel like you are doing the most good, I am simply saying you are enabling evil. You are enabling Fascism.

I would say I am fighting the rise of Fascism, though not to the exent I could or realisticly should be able to, that being said I also fear for my safety if I do much more. but if that means that I will be shot when the liberals “save us from facism” so be it,
