I can understand this argument but at the current rate our species is going it seems that the outcome of doing nothing will be worse. We don’t have access to nearly enough resources for every person that already exists to have the same lifestyle as an average “Westerner,” and this deficit will only grow with more people. I wonder how many of us would actually prefer a situation where everyone’s living situation was truly fair and equal, and if that situation would change their mind about population control. It’s easy to say that these sorts of measures are discrimination when you are already personally well-off.
