If it doesn’t look like an A how can it be used in place of an A?

I really don’t care if it’s some fictional logo or not. When used the way it’s used here, it does look stupid.

This is equivocation. You cannot freely shift between “it resembles a letter” and “it is that letter” for private convenience.

To the argument it is that letter:

You can’t just put accents on top of letters just because it looks cool.

They didn’t. It’s not a letter. It’s not an A becoming an Å. What it looks like, in the sense of its literal specific shape, is a Λ with a circle above it. If you’re going to complain about that linguistically then you’d insist it reads STARGLTE.

To the argument it resembles that letter:

I’m not saying that they should change the logo or anything, just that it looks stupid.

Seriously though - it’s a pyramid and a sun being used in place of a largely triangular letter. What it looks like, in the sense of close approximation to anything the target audience is familiar with, is that letter. It’s such a close resemblance that you’ve misinterpreted it as that letter, with an accent. Insisting it’s a poor fit is unconvincing.

I really don’t care what you say or think. I think it looks like an Å and I think that looks stupid and you don’t. So what? What is there really to debate?

This is equivocation. You cannot freely shift between “it resembles a letter” and “it is that letter” for private convenience.

How was I supposed to know that a symbol that was in between two letters was in fact not a letter and was instead a fictional symbol? I thought the name of the franchise was Stargate so I thought that the symbol between G and T was supposed to be a stylized A. I didn’t know that the name of the franchise was STARG🌏TE.

IMO that’s not my fault. How would anyone new to the franchise know that the franchise is called STARG🌏TE and not STARGATE? Lots of people would assume the symbol is stylized because that is incredibly common for logos and posters.

Of fucking course I didn’t think that 🌏 was an actual Å everyone and their mother could understand it’s supposed to be something else.

Insisting it’s a poor fit is unconvincing.

Lol I’m not trying to convince anyone. To me it just looks stupid. I don’t care if it’s a pyramid or some shit.

Yes this comment is long and rambling but I don’t feel like removing redundancy because it’s apparently needed and it takes more time than just pressing send.

Oh cool, so why would I read another word or talk to you ever again?

I have said that I don’t care multiple times and yet you replied, so that’s up to you I guess.

Gladly block me If that makes you feel any better about your weird symbols.
