Well let’s tax them more and stop that. That may we will go into a recession where the less affluent will bear the brunt of it.

They don’t get the concept it’s not greedy to want to keep some of my own money for myself.
I’d take liberals more seriously if they’d be willing to increase their taxes but their solution is always taking someone else’s money
No, this is just how you feel because you’re in the top 5% and don’t want to do your part.
Please find a single comment of mine that states I want people to be taxed based on political affiliation. Otherwise you’re just making shit up now. These accusations do nothing to further the conversation or be respectful. Isn’t that a rule in this community?
Or you could just do what you always do when you’re proven wrong in a thread here and don’t want to admit it and just stop replying, like our many threads over the past few weeks.
I do my part. It’s time others do their part. We already pay more of our income and the bulk of all taxes.
It’s time for you to sacrifice like we do.
Who is “we”?
You do realize the lower earners in this country pay taxes too, yeah?
Omg how are the poor ever going to live without yacht money!!! Oh wait, we already do……you just don’t want to get used to it yourself for the betterment of society because you’ve been manipulated by a combination of greed and conservative media telling you that it’s wrong.
Then you didn’t look at the chart I provided you. We can’t have a conversation until you educate yourself on the topic. About 1/2 of Americans pay nothing in taxes. Zero
I looked but it’s irrelevant.
Are you upset at poor people not paying as much in tax, or the ultra wealthy getting away with no paying their fair share due to the tax system?
If the first, what makes you think they should pay more when they’re already struggling?
If the second, then would you support tax reform that requires the richest to pay more into it without as many loopholes, and would you be willing to be one of those people paying more as a 5%-er? And why are you continuing to back and vote for the people preventing it
If you don’t have a good answer feel free to just abandon the thread as usual.
It’s a 100% relevant. We can’t have a conversation if you won’t be intellectually honest.
I normally abandon a thread when it’s not productive. If you deny the real world then there is little value in a conversation.
All Americans should be taxed at a similar pain level. It encourages people to stop voting for stupid spending.
I like the pain level argument.
Then please directly answer the many questions I’ve posed which you refuse to acknowledge, like the ones in my previous message on this thread. It’s a two-way street dude.
It’s not my job is answer every strange question you ask. I focus on the ones that make sense and ignore the others.
We have a spending problem in this country. The democrat gave tricked to think it’s a taxing issue. It isn’t. We could take all the billionaires money and we’d still not cover our spending for a year.
We need to spend less.

@BobaFuttbucker @wintermute_oregon Greed is about selfishness, not desire

Haha dude it’s a selfish desire. You understand like half of what the words you use mean.
@BobaFuttbucker As do you, it seems 🤭
Bringing things back to the subject at hand, when it comes to taxing the rich and ultra rich, it might be worth asking if you want the people who are paying your salary to be poorer, and for that money to go to our interest in the national debt instead of to you.
“No u” is not that sick of a burn, im actually disappointed you couldn’t think of anything else and had to pivot topics.
The richest can afford to be a little poorer more than the already poor can afford to be a little poorer, especially as the cost of living continues to rise and wages continue to stagnate.
That’s not my opinion that’s literally how it works. Big pile of money can be used to pay for things more than small pile of money.
@BobaFuttbucker

And you think that the rich would just eat extra tax costs rather than do layoffs, even though you think they are greedy?
I don’t think they will without being required to. But I think they should.
