    Sadly, as long as the tracking network is opt-in, it’ll never match an AirTag.

          That’s the real kicker. I personally find Briar to be pretty cool I wonder if we could build something like Briar but for finding devices.

          Maybe it is time for a university to step up and do a research project

      Right, the hardware is inconsequential. Like they all work the same way.

      Hopefully Google enables soon.
