49-year-old Brace Hull has been jailed for 46 weeks, as well as handed a three-year long order.

Named Hull, from Hull. What are the odds?

Does this include public restrooms? How bad do you have to wreck a public toilet, and how many times does it take before you’re considered a legal threat to a coffee shop bathroom? Asking for a friend.

i’m not british, but i think they have some civil rights that would violate….
plus they would probably specify restrooms and not just defecating….

I’d assume as much, but aren’t all Brits banned from public defecation by general public decency laws? If so, an individual ban on the same wouldn’t have any meaning. Although I’ve heard loiscences are required for everything over there, so perhaps there’s a public pooping permit for the posh…

Yes, but some people need an extra special, personal reminder.

“Obviously everyone knows not to shit on the pavement in the middle of the city centre… but just to make sure… Ms Grace Hull, we are specifically asking you not to shit on the pavement in the middle of the city centre”

ianal but i have now got about fifteen tabs open with various search results about pissing and shitting in public so that has to count for something? as far as i can see it can be a sexual offence if you intend for someone to see you doing it (and for them to be alarmed by it) but otherwise it depends on the local authority whose turf you have shat on, as they may have a local byelaw – many do

my guess is she was busted doing it, and instead of charging her and getting her on some sex offender list, they symbolically added it to her probation so if she’s busted again it’ll clearly be a pattern….
i do know in the US you can get on the list if a cop sees you peeing in public and they see your dick… my friend got caught doing that and the cop gave him a “improper disposing of urine” ticket to save him from that… (i was there).

You would usually only get put on the list if you were obviously trying for other people to see it. Otherwise it’s public urination which is only a misdemeanor, unless you are a serial offender

if it’s in view of the public it doesn’t matter whether you intended for someone to see you or not, a child could have walked along and been permanently scarred when they realize that all humans have penises and pee….
but really that’s the way they treat it. if the cop sees it, they’re obligated to charge you with indecent exposure… you knew you were exposing yourself when you unzipped….
i actually had a cop tell me to pee in a rolled up magazine… as long as they don’t see your dick there’s no list.
