Prometheus! It’s a prequel to Alien, and a very good one at that, though it goes without saying that you need to try and look past the abundance of silly decisions that the characters make throughout the movie.
There’s a very good fan edit out there which removes many of the silly moments, such as the scientist talking to the worm creature as if it’s cute and cuddly. They also completed VFX work on the deleted scenes and placed then back in the film.
