I get where you’re coming from, I just think that it’s not true, that people seem that way because we live under a fundamentally exploitative system and people are acting rational-ish in a fucked up system.
Not my analogy, but observing people living under capitalism and then concluding that humans are naturally selfish is like looking at workers in a factory where pollution is poisoning their lungs and then concluding that humans naturally cough a lot.
I, with many others, live in a capitalistic country and live a great life with social safety nets.
The conclusion comes from empirical data that all former attempts at pure socialism/communism has failed due to human greed and corruption. If I am wrong, then show me so I can learn.
