I found this article by Cato Institute, of all places, interesting as it criticizes the Republican rhetoric about the constitution as possibly…deeply misinformed.

If they could present a compelling case I may support it. Now supporting the military with permission I’d support. Otherwise work on border and let Mexico handle their internal affairs.

Going into a country unasked is something we’ve done before. Obama ordered the strike on osama and people cheered. I get why we did it but to backstab an ally isn’t a good look

The whole reason this is on the table is because Mexico has refused to deal with their internal affairs for decades, and the cartels are all in bed with the Mexican government. What worth is an ally who is nothing but a detriment to us?

My issue is it worth American lives? We have a habit of kicking ass but not leaving.

If we could go in, strike and leave I’d be more onboard.
