Thanks for also being the first other person I’ve seen refer to the commonly-accepted-but-fucked-up-practice of Ukrainians being forced to join the army against their will. Any male over 18 gets stripped from their families at the border when trying to flee the country, then forced to help kill Russians (and other Ukrainians) or face death - which is seriously awful.

I even tried making some monochrome photos specifically to dither them like that, the results are nice but you kind of need to know what you are doing with the light so it turns out well. You can always mess with the contrast and that could work too.
Either way, the photos edited to look that way look fucking amazing. Dithering rocks.
that’s an interesting aesthetic; I’ve only been using the GIMP dithering filter for emotes so far, tweaking the number of colours in each channel so it’s easily recognizable at 100% resolution, very simplistic stuff
