State 23 - Minnesota

UMN Raptor Center - St Paul, MN

These 2 were found in the ground and weren’t so active, so they got brought in for evaluation. Nothing turned out to be wrong with them, so they were returned to where they came from and out back up safely in a tree.

They are siblings even though one is red and one is gray. Screech Owls dont discriminate when it comes to their dating habits.

This place is open to tours by appointment, so check out their site and go see some cool birds!

They also seem to host frequent release events where you can watch the rehabbed birds return to the wild and cheer them on. Check out their Facebook for details on those events and more rescue stories.

      I know! 🥰

I like how it’s standing so proud with a puffed out chest.

Plus it looks extra tiny in the little tub.
