    Imagine paying a subscription to remove ads.

    Not even in my wildest dreams, as a teenager being amazed at what Facebook was and the evolution it brought to post shit with folks connect with relatives on the Internet I would ever think about this kind of shittification.

    If I could time travel and advise about shittification to people using services like Facebook, Twitter or Google… Heck, sounds like a good time travel movie, but I can’t see anyone having the balls of doing it, and I think nobody would listen anyway 😂

      Why? It’s the same idea as having a free, ad-supported tier of a paid service, so it’s just a matter of what the default experience is. Someone needs to pay to keep the service running.

      The other option I guess is to rely on whales like F2P games do, but I think that’s a worse experience than ads or subscriptions.
