I don’t think that’s quite true. There are athletes that eat shitty food like that. The difference is they burn it all off and eat other healthy food also.
However the demon in fast food is that it tempts you to eat far more than you need, and can easily trap you in an unhealthy lifestyle.
Usaine Bolt, along with various cyclists, would show otherwise. There are fit people who regularly eat fast food - it’s just not all they eat, and they’re active.
There are non-athletes who are in good shape in the same manner. It’s not like everyone who goes to McDonalds is overweight and unhealthy (although that may well be the case in certain places).
Anyway I don’t really want to be defending McD’s, I like good, fresh food. Their burgers are terrible, their chicken is barely even chicken.
