One comment I’ve heard on images like this is that there’s no way to know how accurate they are to the reality of tribal combat. It’s completely possible that this was just ceremonial and was put on for the photographer. It could also have been fairly rare and not indicative of warfare as a whole.

Regardless, it’s incredibly interesting to see and this is the content I want more of.
