    Super cool, but not particularly newsworthy tbf. There’s organic molecules in whole tons of places it seems, we’ve found amino acids in random ass asteroid fragments.

    The building blocks are beginning to appear to be more common than we might have thought in years past.

    If you think about it, there’s a lot of free energy flying around through space, and all the molecules are in a fairly stable state, frozen in the vacuum. The generation rate could be extraordinarily low, but they could still potentially build up over a long time. Who knows yet, this is just speculation, but its plenty possible.

      Completely agreed. This type of stuff is very cool, but finding more organic material on Mars is not anything new. Even still, news is often how scientific agencies get funding so I understand writing up an article whenever they find things, even if those things are relatively banal.
