Hey everyone,

I am exploring switching over to Linux but I would like to know why people switch. I have Windows 11 rn.

I dont do much code but will be doing some for school. I work remote and go to school remote. My career is not TOO technical.

What benefits caused you to switch over and what surprised you when you made the switch?

Thank you all in advanced.

@NotMichaelCera I’d tried using various flavours of Linux over the years since 2003/4 but never had the right motivation or conditions. That changed in 2018 when I repeatedly opened up my Windows 8 laptop to do something quickly and was told that I couldn’t because Windows had decided to do updates or fix itself somehow instead.
I lost patience, dual booted Ubuntu, eventually solely Mint and now the past two years on Mint Debian edition. I never looked back!! 🤗
