If I were a player I’d bring back the Edgar Davids look for a day and rock a pair of laser safely glasses.

Honestly, makes me ashamed to be Greek and root for the greek team.

Let’s see how we do on the playoffs.

Really hope some attacking power comes back next time, this really was bad. 4-3-3 after halftime looked good for 15 minutes, but not that convincing otherwise.

Also, how was that last one not a pen? He clearly clips his leg, did he hit the ball a tiny bit or something?

I’m not sure what Koeman was doing in the second half. First half wasn’t exactly totaalvoetbal but we invited the press and had some decent attacks and a missed pen. We didn’t have much control at all in the second half and basically had massive gaps between the lines and attackers on an island. Van de Ven at left back meant a few dangerous possession losses in the build up and made their press much more effective. I some some Steijnbal in the end with us spamming long balls on Brobbey with a hopelessly out of form Bergwijn to his left. He obviously did well to win the penalty and we won in the end but it wasn’t due to great game management.

We weren’t great, crazy that we legit should’ve had 4 pens instead of 2. The foul on Brobbey and the guy who dived one ball with his arm first in the first half.

Never let Weghorst take a pen again.

Again, sloppy game but with 4 of our starting 11 out injured we should just be happy we won.

IIRC, if a hand is supporting your weight while falling, it can’t be given as a handball. That is presumably the judgement

He clearly moved his entire body and arm towards the ball to block it though. If the rules say that wasn’t a pen then the rules suck.

yea by the current interpretation they can literally act as goalkeepers on low shots

Still don’t understand why he ever starts. He’s only ever good as a sub at the end. He adds absolutely fuck all in the first 60 minutes of a match.

Ik kan er zo slecht tegen dat Weghorst zo vreselijk overdreven aan Virgil z’n nek gaat hangen na het scoren van die penalty. Komt zo gemaakt over allemaal. Ik geloof dat je passie hebt en blij bent dat we winnen, maar laat de captain even zn ding doen aub.

Fair play to Greece, those long balls in the second half were really scary. Realistically we should have converted some of those chances we had in the first half but luckily we got away with it, as our play today just wasn’t good enough.

Hopefully we somehow find a centre forward underneath the floorboards somewhere before the Euros

I’d like to see Brobbey get another go. He came in when our ball progression was essentially gone with Hartman and wieffer off the pitch and he still gave the lay off for the Dumfries pen and should have gotten another penalty himself. He wasn’t stellar but he was definitely better than Weghorst. Or play malen centrally, he was ass on the left.
