Pretty even match. A draw feels harsh given the circumstances, but both teams created enough to feel hard done by.

I thought the referee had a good game. It was a hard game for him and his team. He should have sent off Pacho, but otherwise he was on top of things.

Felt like for this game we ( ecuador) needed strong tall strikers to annoy the colombian defense. Jordy and/or campana would have been great in this game but noooo somehow enner has to play the whole game. Wtf man this draw feels like a loss.

Bueno…

I know another tie sucks, specially after the game with Uruguay. But all things considered, specially with all the injuries we currently have, getting this point in Quito is a good thing.

Enner Valencia is never beating the washed allegations playing like this.

20 good opening minutes and then we ran out of ideas. Colombia were much more dangerous for the middle 30 minutes because they had forwards who could actually pass the ball and contribute to their build up

Sanchez seems so hellbent on sticking with 352 regardless of the squad and who is available. Makes no sense to keep spamming long balls over the top for the wing backs without our best left wing backs. As well as feeding long balls for 34 year old Enner to chase. Why not just leave Rodriguez on the pitch for that

I will concede Ramirez was a completely different keeper from the one we’ve seen recently. Still not fully confident coming off his line but as a shot stopper he did his job well. Good with his feet as well

I like this result for Colombia, given how many starting defensive players were missing (we had second-choice centre-backs, third choice goalkeeper and defensive midfielder, and fourth/fifth choice right back). Would’ve loved the win, given how much we got teased with it (two disallowed goals and a missed pen), but we also got saved by sheer luck several times, so I’ll take it.

Out of those, Castaño did great (should now be second choice behind Lerma/Uribe), Montero and Cuesta did OK (solid second choices for their respective positions), and Sanchez had a horrible brain fart in the first half but finished strong.

Mosquera was very bad (especially in the first half; I thought he was going to get sent off), but it was to be expected; with Cuadrado off the team, and Muñoz and Santiago Arias injured… we straight-up ran out of options. I feel that the team actually went out of their way to “carry” Mosquera through the game, deploying Uribe and Jhon Arias to cover for him as much as possible. It worked, but… yeah. He’s staying low-priority for now.

Another 0:0 streak incoming? What the hell happened to Colombia? I thought they were the 3rd conmebol power alongside Uruguay.
