Saying you’ll send people who disagree with your actions to the place you’re actively bombing nonstop and have vowed to turn into dust seems pretty fashy to me shrug-outta-hecks we’re well beyond the point of giving isntreal the benefit of the doubt

I can’t say I disagree with that initial statement. My point remains that the video subtitles, provided by the media outlet, don’t match the title. This guy is supposedly saying there are no protest (permits?) going to be authorised during the conflict. His reasoning is the police can’t deal with large gatherings/protest during the conflict and that they aren’t being lenient about it. Then he says the quote I mentioned in my previous comment. Seems far removed to me from literally forcibly bussing anti-war protesters to a war zone.

Whatever, this shit is cult like. I ask about whether this is literal misinformation being posted and everyone in here is making it about fascists or implying I support them (or whatever this officer in the video is saying or implying). Apparently I just love cops because I ask questions lmao. That and the image spam instead of addressing the fact that the subtitles a media organisation edited in clearly don’t even match a title they formulated based on said subtitles. Fascism is borderline beside the point but yeah, you cool guys keep it up. Lotta super cool things going on in here.

            this is literal misinformation

except it’s not. “identify as gazan” means effectively being an anti war protester in this context. They simply expressed the underlying meaning of his implication instead of translating his words literally. It would be like if a mob boss said in a different language “nice place, be a shame if something happened to it.” and I translated that into another language as “I am threatening you.” because-of-the-implication

As much as it was frustrating initially before I got a genuine reply I’d be lying if I said I didn’t find the spb reply/images pretty fucking funny.

Oh fuck off, my comments aren’t concern trolling and you know it. No amount of shitty pig balls will make it so. Nor will they make misinformation and willingly ignoring it cool.

You may want to look up the definition of concern trolling. I think from the first comment it is pretty clear that I’m not pretending to be from HB or pretending to have the exact same political alignment as hb. Especially since I don’t have the pronouns(flair?) listed beside my username.

Yeah I agree the “paraphrasing” that some media outlets do is pretty stupid if they don’t mention that it isn’t an actual direct quote. I think it is good that they try to boil down a politician’s statement to what their intention is, like making it clear that this guy is essentially threatening to kill people who aren’t warmongers, but they should have that be alongside the original quote as an explainer, not pretend he directly said that. I feel like I see this a lot these days especially on Twitter. I would rather just see the actual video clips of them speaking with an explanation.

And yeah, people on Hexbear are getting a bit antsy I think.

I appreciate the actual reply, ta. It is a particularly gross thing to say or even imply given the current loss of life. I feel like current leadership in Israel government has emboldened that sort of behaviour/rhetoric. Certainly a shitty take from a government official given they know the conditions in Gaza even prior to this current conflict. Exactly what it reminded me of, given it and Facebook I think are facing fines and legal action for not tackling similar issues.
