Valuing your career over thousands of dead civilians is bad.
How is waiting for more evidence to come out before making a record = valuing your career over thousands of dead civilians?
Even if you completely disregard the western response, the original claim of 500 people being killed conflicts with reports from Doctors on the scene who estimated around 500 casualties with 2-300 of those being killed.
It’s literally taking place in an active warzone, and Palestinians should and will inflate numbers for political leverage. It’s not the job of an archival organization to involve themselves in the process.
I don’t really see why this particular event is so pertinent to this sub, it doesn’t change the onus of responsibility for the deaths. If it was a Jdam from Israel, well that’s not really shocking, they are the reason the people were at the hospital to begin with. If it was a faulty rocket from hamas, the invasion was still the reason it was fired in the first place.
By focusing on what hit the hospital we are detracting from the more important question. Why was the hospital hit by an explosive in the first place?
